Lover of Aegean Sea, handcrafted materials and chocolate.
I have started my artistic journey 18 years ago as a graphic designer in Istanbul, Turkey. After working many years in retail design and production field, I quit my job, pack my things and move to Bodrum; beautiful, paceful town near the Eagean Sea. It was time to find my unique voice and become the artist I was dreaming to be.
I am still learning to navigate in this free artistic environment and enjoying the journey. I love experimenting with different materials such as metals, mirrors and resin. Strong and instantly recognizable messages, geometric forms, layered textures, hidden details combined with metallic surfaces are often reflected in my work.
The name “Carpesita” is dedicated for my guardin angel, bellowed labrador retriever Carpe who brought pure joy and happiness to my life. I hope to pass this feeling through my cerative work.
